It is a surprise to many people that the Grand Traverse County Road Commission (GTCRC) is concerned about the environment, water quality, the trail system and plants. We partner with the Conservation District and Traverse Area Recreational Trail (TART).
The GTCRC's Adopt-a-Road Program was one of the early programs in the State of Michigan.
Invite us to come to your school and explain about winter safety such as safety waiting for the bus or driving along side on the road. You are also welcome to our office to climb the salt pile, sit in a truck, and talk with our employees about transportation careers. We'd love to meet you! East-West Corridor is currently underway. Meetings have been held with focus groups, stakeholder groups, local agency groups and the PUBLIC! Hope you have been a part of this process. There will be another public meeting in Spring 2019.
Our employees have been dedicated personal partners in providing Christmas gifts for Child and Family Services' clients.
